Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the Adjunct Faculty and Services Office to supervise the leadership, supervision, quality control and service to all Fischler School of Education and Human Resources (FSEHS) adjunct instructors to ensure that our students receive consistent, uniform and superior quality instruction in keeping with NSU’s commitment to excellence. We are committed to providing a school-wide locus of hiring, decision-making, training, evaluation and service to our FSEHS adjunct faculty. Our work focuses on serving the needs of our students, faculty and administration, while supporting the policies of the university.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Adjunct Faculty and Services Office (AFSO) manages all matters related to adjunct faculty and their service to the FSEHS. We deal with potential adjunct applications, course credentialing, the new hire process for adjunct faculty, supervision of teaching load, distribution and compliance with administrative policies, teaching and administrative contract approvals, teaching and administrative payment approvals, adjunct faculty evaluations, orientation and professional development and training, etc.
