Admission & Registration Procedures

Graduate Credit Instructions

In order to receive graduate credit through Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education and Human individuals must complete an admission application form and formally register for classes. Please follow the steps outlined below to begin the admission process. Admission Criteria

Ms Science Education: Degree seeking

A student who wishes to transfer courses from the American Museum of natural History (AMNH) must enroll in the MS in Science Education program at Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services.  A maximum of 3 AMNH courses (9 credits) may be transferred to replace the elective requirements in the science program, and students must complete all other degree requirements and pay the transfer fee before the credits will be processed.

Please follow the instructions below to apply and register for classes:

1. Submit a completed application form with a $50 nonrefundable fee http://www.schoolofed.nova.edu/gtep/info/admissions.html  
   
   
2. An official transcript indicating a conferred bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a 2.5 minimum grade point average (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
   
   
3. All other transcripts from every college or university you have ever attended ( even if you did not receive a degree from that institution)

Special Notes:

• Credits are only transferred as part of a full degree program
• Students must complete all remaining NSU degree requirements prior to transfer.
• Students must submit a valid copy of their AMNH completion certificate before credits can be transferred.
• There is a Transfer of Credit fee of $375.00 per AMNH course.

Application Instructions:

• Complete the Master of Science in Education admission application form and include a $50.00 nonrefundable application fee. (The fee required for processing.)
• Sign and date the application form.
• Mail or fax the application along with an official bachelor’s or graduate degree transcript (with conferral) from a regionally accredited institution.

Note: Please allow 2-3 business days for processing of your application. Our office will notify via U.S. mail you once you have been admitted.
Registration
Once you have completed the admission application form, you will need to follow steps outlined below to officially register for the course.

• Complete a Student Transaction Form -AMNH  (STF). (Complete sections A and C, provide an email address and sign the form.)
• Fax the STF to the Office of Enrollment Services – Registration Department at (954) 262–2336.
• Retain the STF for your records until you receive an email confirmation from a FSEHS Registration Representative.

Graduate Credit

Upon completion of the AMNH Seminar in Science course(s), you must complete an admission application form and register for the corresponding course(s) as outlined above. All payments and other related fees should be submitted in order to receive an official transcript from Nova Southeastern University.

Requesting an Official Transcript

Should you require an official transcript, please note that depending on the Master of Science in Education term dates, it may take up to 45 days to receive an official transcript.
