Description	Bay County is one of the five original districts selected to pilot a School Choice program. Open District: If there are schools at capacity, then a lottery is done. 37 schools Programs: 1) Regular education schools 2) Schools serving students with special needs 3) Charter schools 4) Part-time Public School of Choice while maintaining home school status. 5) MAGNET: International Baccalaureate, Advanced International Certificate of Education, AP, Fine Arts, Health, Occupations, Communication, Culinary, Law Academy, Academy of Travel and Tourism, Technology, Arts Mentee District: Okaloosa
Transportation Information	There are out of zone, magnet (with shuttles and transfers), charter, and ticket to ride program transportation.
Application Information	Open Enrollment- Completion of a choice card. Bay District parents are notified by the end of March regarding placement. Also, an explantion of the waiting list if the school placement is not the parent's first choice.
