Graduate (M.A., M.S., Ed.S., Ed.D., and SLP.D.) – June 20, 2009
On June 20, 2009, the Fischler School of Education and Human Services will hold 2009 Commencement Exercises.
Commencement recognizes and celebrates students’ successful completion of their academic programs. Many students, as well as their families and friends, look forward to the ceremony as a rite of passage commemorating the important achievement of attaining a college degree.
Participation
Eligible graduates (please refer to the “requirements for participation” link on the home page) planning to participate in the commencement ceremony will be required to complete a Commencement Participation Form (CPF) which is to be submitted to the University along with the appropriate non-refundable fee which covers the cost of the standard regalia (cap and gown) and the participation in the ceremony. Note: this is a separate fee from the fee required for the Application for Degree/Diploma. Final instructions regarding commencement day will be provided just prior to the ceremony date to participants who submit the CPF.
Diploma
During the ceremony, graduates will be called to the stage, will be announced as candidates for graduation, and will be awarded a certificate of congratulations. Diplomas are not distributed at commencement.
