Undergraduate (B.S.) – May 2, 2009

On  May 2, 2009 the Fischler School of Education and Human Services, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, and the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, will jointly hold 2009 Undergraduate Commencement Exercises.

Commencement recognizes and celebrates undergraduate students’ successful completion of their academic programs.  Participation in commencement does not guarantee that a student has graduated, nor is it a graduation requirement.  However, many students, as well as their families and friends, look forward to the ceremony as a rite of passage commemorating the important achievement of attaining a college degree.

Participation

Eligible graduates (please refer to the “requirements for participation” link on the home page) planning to participate in the commencement ceremony will be required to complete a Commencement Participation Form (CPF) which is to be submitted to the University along with the appropriate non-refundable fee which covers the cost of the standard regalia (cap and gown) and the participation in the ceremony.  Note: this is a separate fee from the fee required for the Application for Degree/Diploma. Final instructions regarding commencement day will be provided just prior to the ceremony date to participants who submit the CPF.

Diploma

During the ceremony, graduates will be called to the stage, will be announced as candidates for graduation, and will be awarded a certificate of congratulations. Diplomas are not distributed at commencement.
