Registration Instructions

Students should register for DSO 8000 prior to beginning their first doctoral course. If attendance is not possible prior to the first doctoral course, you may register for a seminar no later than 4 months after beginning your first doctoral course. Additional information at: Doctoral Studies Orientation.

Students will start with the DSO.  Please go to http://schoolofed.nova.edu/dso to obtain additional information.

Registration Eligibility (all 4 conditions MUST be met):

  • Student is provisionally/fully admitted
  • Student is considered in good academic standing
  • There are no active "holds" on file
  • Registration is open

If the student has been out of the program for more than one year, the student must contact a doctoral program enrollment counselor. If a hold has been placed on the student's account, it must be removed before the registration deadline in order for the student to be eligible to register.

There are three ways for students to register for classes:

  1. Register online via WebSTAR , the NSU Student Registration and Information System, using your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
    OR
  2. Via Fax: Complete the Registration form and fax the form to the Student Services Office at 954-262-2336.
  3. For Continuing Dissertation Services, students can register via WebSTAR or email  conserve@nsu.nova.edu (use "conserve" only after regular registration period has ended).
    • Students must use their NSU email account and include in the email request the following information: Full Name, Phone Number, NSU ID, Course Reference Number (CRN), and Term Code.
Drop/Add/Withdrawal procedures:

The same procedures apply above; however, if students are unable to successfully complete the transaction utilizing WebSTAR, students must complete the Student Registration form and fax the completed form to the Student Services Office at 954-262-2336.
