About the Concentration
The doctor of education with a concentration in instructional leadership is designed specifically for practicing teachers, educational leaders, and administrators in prekindergarten through 12th grade public and nonpublic schools and school systems. This program will help practitioners develop leadership skills associated with traditional instructional tasks such as setting clear goals, allocating resources to instruction, managing curriculum, and monitoring lesson plans through self-reflection and analysis, and best practices through practical application. Those skills and practices can then be used to solve real problems in the workplace. The doctoral program in instructional leadership focuses developing educators so they can create professional development programs that emphasize data-driven decision making for improved instruction in schools.
