About the Concentration
The doctor of education with a concentration in organizational leadership is designed specifically for practicing professionals with a leadership role in their organization. This program will help practitioners develop skills to meet both current and future leadership challenges facing their organizations through self-reflection and analysis, and best practices through practical application. Those skills and practices can then be used to solve real problems in the workplace. The doctoral program in organizational leadership focuses on developing leaders as change agents that can implement effective policy and achieve a higher standard of organizational achievement in the 21st century.
Who Should Apply
- practicing professionals with a background in education, human services, human resources, staff development/training, military personnel, middle and upper management, business administration, non-profit administration, or related fields
- individuals with master's degrees who wish to obtain doctoral degrees and increase their knowledge and skills in leadership

Program Completion Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of both attendance requirements
- DSO 8000 - Doctoral Studies Orientation
- FSC 8000 - Summer Conference (Conference on Global Leadership, Learning and Research)
- Satisfactory completion of all required courses
- Students must complete EDD 9200 prior to enrolling in EDD 9300. Students must complete EDD 9300 prior to enrolling in EDD 9100.
- Students must complete EDD 9300 prior to enrolling in ARC 8917. Students must complete ARC 8912 prior to enrolling in ARC 8918.
- successful completion of an applied dissertation
- cumulative maintained grade point average of 3.0 or higher
