About the Program
This Doctoral Fellowship program has grown dramatically since its inception in 1984. It is designed to provide doctoral students an opportunity to study and work among a distinguished faculty and administration.
In addition to their program studies and participation in strategic development initiatives, fellows are expected to engage in other scholarly pursuits such as: writing an article for publication or attending a professional conference and making a post-conference, scholarly presentation to faculty and administrators, assisting with internal studies, research projects, and other FSEHS projects as assigned, and engaging in different learning experiences throughout FSEHS in various administrative and academic areas.
The Award
The Fellowship is a two year program from the date of hire which includes:

$30,000 annual stipend along with medical, dental, life, and disability insurance benefits as approved by the university

Tuition for up to 30 credits during the fellowship year and books, except fees

Office space at FSEHS in North Miami Beach , FL
Doctoral Fellow Responsibilities

Attendance is requested at the Fischler School of Education and Human Services Summer Conference on Global Leadership, Learning and Research to provide assistance and meet the required obligations for all the days of the conference. All expenses for the Summer Conference will be paid

General Procedures
A search committee made up of a panel of distinguished faculty and administrators will review applications to choose a short list of those to be interviewed. Applicants on the short list will be notified.
The search committee will conduct telephone interviews with applicants on the short list. Interview dates and times will be arranged between the panel and the interviewees and each interview will last about 30 minutes. On the basis of the interviews, up to four finalists will be chosen to attend a face-to-face interview with the search committee, faculty, Executive Dean, and Education Provost.
