The M.S.
in Education with specialization in Teaching
and Learning is designed for educators/practitioners who seek a
graduate degree in education with emphasis in instructional strategies
and learning theory. Graduates of this program are prepared to implement
a broad range of educational activities, apply research methodologies
and materials, and utilize current instructional technologies to vitalize
their classrooms. Emphasis
is on transforming theory into practice and tailoring instruction to
enhance student understanding and achievement while meeting the challenges
of state and national standards.
Nova Southeastern University
is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS). NGTE programs are aligned with appropriate national and professional
standards. Because our students come from many states as well as areas
outside the United States, these programs are not developed in accordance
with any particular state certification requirements.
| NGTE
students should contact their state department
of education for guidance in obtaining certification or licensure,
or contact their local school district for approval in fulfilling
district-level incentive programs. Certification requirements
vary by state and district. Completion of an NGTE program of
study does not guarantee certification. |
