Curriculum, Instruction and Technology
Master
of Science in Education with specialization in Curriculum,
Instruction and Technology degree candidates complete this
specialization using the program outline posted below. Curriculum,
Instruction and Technology is offered through the National
Graduate Teacher Education Online Program (NGTE). Students
entering this specialization are assigned to a cluster/cohort
group and take two courses per term.
Master of Science Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology (CIT)
The M.S. in education with specialization in Curriculum, Instruction,
and Technology is designed for educational professionals who seek
site or district leadership roles in curriculum planning and development
with an emphasis on the use of technology to effect change. Upon
completion of the program, participants should have gained experience
in using educational research, learning theories, and instructional
technology to enhance student achievement. Integration of technology
into classroom instructional activities, district-level curriculum
planning and implementation, and instructional technology leadership
at all levels are the program focus.
Nova Southeastern University
is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS). NGTE programs are aligned with appropriate national and professional
standards. Because our students come from many states as well as areas
outside the United States, these programs are not developed in accordance
with any particular state certification requirements.

students should contact their state department
of education for guidance in obtaining certification or licensure,
or contact their local school district for approval in fulfilling
district-level incentive programs. Certification requirements
vary by state and district. Completion of an NGTE program of
study does not guarantee certification. |
