will gain a critical perspective on the theory and practice of environmental
education. This examination will be based upon the students'
personal teaching experiences. Upon completion of the program,
students will have developed a personal conceptual framework
for environmental education and have applied these concepts to curriculum
design.

is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS). NGTE programs are aligned with appropriate national and professional
standards. Because our students come from many states as well as areas
outside the United States, these programs are not developed in accordance
with any particular state certification requirements.
| NGTE
students should contact their state department
of education for guidance in obtaining certification or licensure,
or contact their local school district for approval in fulfilling
district-level incentive programs. Certification requirements
