The field of English as a second language or as a foreign language offers many possibilities for an exciting new career or continued professional development.  It is an expanding discipline with many options and implications for future teachers and students everywhere. 

The NSU TESOL/TEFL program offers many options for the student who wants to become a part of this exciting language experience. 

We offer both undergraduate and graduate level programs, as well as programs that may lead to certification, and state endorsements.  The TESOL and TEFL programs are offered in several delivery formats that make the best use of available technology and field based experiences. 

Students interested in teaching students within the United States should consider the TESOL options, including RESOL, the new combined Reading and ESOL degree offering.  Those who would prefer teaching English in international settings will appreciate the flexible options built into our TEFL program.

Whatever program you choose, be assured that the multilingual faculty and administrators involved with the program are dedicated knowledgeable professionals with many years of training and teaching experience.
