Writers, directors, actors, songwriters, technicians, choreographers, video/filmmakers, producers, and designers can now expand their skills and leadership in the arts and blend their talents with Nova Southeastern University's innovative master's degree specialization in Interdisciplinary Arts. Join us at NSU as we help you create something for yourself - and your career.

How is the program designed?

Capstone Project

This capstone project is the culminating event of the Interdisciplinary Arts Program. It is an interdisciplinary arts event conceived, written, created, and produced by the student and the production team he or she assembles. The project must be outlined in writing and approved by the program administrator, artist director, and any appropriate faculty members in order to be scheduled and marketed for public performance. It may take the form of an artistic work or lecture demonstration, but must encompass some aspect of performance or presentation by the master's degree candidate. Students will be assisted by faculty members and peers as they develop their capstone projects. The project must demonstrate excellence in the interdisciplinary arts and be accompanied by a contextual essay describing the history, evolution, intention, purpose, and methods by which the student created the capstone event.

Advanced Specialization: It is the goal of the IAP to offer additional coursework for students who wish to further develop their skills in a specific area of the Interdisciplinary Arts. In the future, the IAP will offer these courses in collaboration with other programs in the University.
