Degree Conferral Process
Outlined below is some helpful information that will greatly assist students and facilitate the most efficient operation of our office.
- Students can now complete the Degree Application Form online.
- Students should submit their degree applications to the registrar at least 8 weeks prior to completing all coursework.
- Provided all academic/degree requirements are satisfied (i.e., all program coursework is taken, Action Research Verification Form received by the program office, etc.), the process for degrees to be conferred and posted on the transcript normally takes approximately 4 weeks from the time the degree application leaves the program office. [Note: Upon receipt of Action Research Verification Form, students will receive an email confirmation within 3 business days].
- Upon receipt of the degree application, each student will receive an unofficial transcript along with a letter from the Registrar stating that his/her degree has been conferred and when to expect the diploma, which is sent a few weeks after the conferral is posted. Students should expect to receive their diplomas 4-6 weeks from the time their degree has been conferred and posted. You may request an official transcript through WebSTAR, or you may submit a Transcript Request Form (PDF) either by fax to 954-262-4862 or by mail to:
Office of Student Financial Services and Registration
3301 College Avenue
Fort Lauderdale-Davie , FL 33314-7796
- Upon completion of all MATL program requirements, if requested by email, The Office of Student Services can forward an official letter documenting completion for those who need verification quickly because of school district timelines for master's pay increases and/or tuition reimbursement. All program requirements must be satisfied. Please send your request via email to fgsoaa@nsu.nova.edu. Please include the following in your email:
- First and Last name
- NSU ID number
- District Address and fax number
- Contact name and phone number
All requests must be made using your NSU email account. If you do not comply, your request may be delayed.
Thanks for your kind attention and cooperation.
