Steps to Success in Achieving Educational Leadership Certification
with an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Charter School Education/Leadership

1. Students MUST have their MS in Education with a specialization in Charter School Education/Leadership degree conferred.
2. Fill out the Educational Leadership Application located at http://www.schoolofed.nova.edu/nieo/pdf/app_nieo.pdf
3. Write the word "Update" at the top of the application to avoid paying another application fee.
4. Complete and Sign the Application.
5. Mail OR fax all documents to:

6. Upon admission to the Modified Core Program students must complete the following courses: EDL 510, EDL 520, and EL 600. These courses will be listed on your new program outline.
7. Upon completion, students must submit passing FELE (Florida Educational Leadership Exam) scores on all three (3) subtests.
8. Contact your academic advisor to initiate the addendum statement on your official transcript to reflect completion of a state approved program in Educational Leadership.
