Q.

Is there anything that I need to do before I begin my first course?

A.

Yes. All news students are required to register for and complete an orientation program. Undergraduate students may contact the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program division at (954) 262-7900. Graduate students may contact the Office of Enrollment Services at (954) 262-8500.

Where can I obtain course information?

A.

Course information such as the course description and syllabi are located on your program’s Web site.

Q.

Once I have applied for my PIN, how long will it take for me to receive it?

A.

All new students please note that the initial PIN is automatically generated and sent to your mailing address. Please do not request a PIN if you have just been (provisionally or fully) accepted. If you do not receive a PIN in two (2)  working weeks of your acceptance, or have lost your PIN, please complete the steps to request your PIN at https://www.nova.edu/webforms/help/pinreq.html or contact the PIN help desk at (954) 262-4850 or (800) 986-3223, ext. 4850, or email pinhelp@nova.edu

Can I receive financial aid if I have not been fully admitted to a degree program?

A.

Financial aid monies cannot be disbursed if you have not submitted all necessary documents to complete your admission file. (Refer to the 90 Day Calendar for deadline dates.)

Q.

How do I order textbooks?

A.

You can order your textbooks online by visiting the NSU Bookstore online at: http://www.nsubooks.bkstore.com/ Follow the step-by-step instructions for finding your required text book for your course(s). If you are a local student, you may visit the NSU Bookstore located at University Park Plaza, just south of the Health Professions Division on University Drive.

What are the next steps once I am notified that I have been admitted?

A.

Once you have received your admission letter, you may officially register for classes. Refer to your Program’s Web site for sample planned courses of study. You may contact our Academic Advising department at (954) 262-8585, select option 6.

Q.

I have not received my PIN in the mail. Can I still register?

A.

Yes, students admitted to the Fischler School are eligible to register for classes by completing a Student Transaction Form (STF), available on the Enrollment Services Web site.

Q.

Is there a registration deadline?

A.

There is a registration deadline. The deadline is usually the Friday before classes commence. Check the Tuition Refund Schedules for dates.
