Welcome to the Fischler School of Education and Human Services (FSEHS) at Nova Southeastern University. The Office of Student Services (OSS) is committed to providing excellent services to our current and future students by enhancing student success through accuracy and consistency, timeliness and accessibility, respect and significance, quality and resolution.
The OSS can assist prospective students in selecting a degree program to meet their professional and personal goals. With 14 degree options and more than 75 specializations to choose from, students can feel confident about their decision to begin their education at NSU’s FSEHS.
Applicants requiring assistance with the admissions process can contact an enrollment services representative or doctoral enrollment counselor for procedures and requirements necessary for full admittance, tracking status of their application, and managing the progress of issues for quick resolution. Students also can obtain general information on scholarships and financial aid.

The OSS maintains current knowledge of program requirements; curriculum policies; and local, state, and national rules on certification for teachers and administrators. Based on that knowledge, the OSS is responsible for advising current students on curriculum decisions, including the appropriate selection and scheduling of courses, selection or change of major or minor, and waiver of requirements and deadlines; auditing students’ records to determine academic progress toward meeting certification and/or degree requirements and eligibility to graduate; and providing additional counseling to warned students, those with academic difficulties, and students contemplating withdrawal in regard to warning, expulsion, suspension, or dismissal.
NSU has simplified the registration process by allowing students to register for classes online through WebSTAR. Students requesting additional assistance when adding, dropping, or withdrawing from courses can contact the OSS to initiate and process the necessary forms. In addition, questions regarding registration schedules, WebSTAR access, registration holds, course schedules and locations, prerequisite requirements, and special needs can be addressed with the OSS.
Enrollment services representatives and doctoral enrollment counselors can further assist students even after graduation by providing advising on pursuing advanced degrees, meeting recertification requirements, engaging in professional development opportunities, and earning continuing education credits.
