Travel and Accommodations

All conference sessions and activities will take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida.  Everyone attending the Summer Conference is responsible for making his or her own hotel reservations and travel arrangements to the Summer Conference. 

A block of rooms has been reserved at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.  Disney offers complimentary transportation from the Orlando International Airport to each of these resorts. 

Beginning Sunday, July 8, at 10:00 am through Friday, July 13, when the conference ends at noon, there will be NSU-sponsored bus transportation from the Polynesian Resort and the Coronado Springs Resort to the Convention Center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  NSU will not provide transportation from any other hotel; you will be responsible for your own transportation to the Contemporary Resort if you choose to stay at another location.

Conference Hotel Information

All conference sessions and activities will take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/contemporary-resort) in Orlando, Florida.  A block of rooms has been reserved at the NSU Summer Conference rate of $170.00 per night plus tax and fees for the duration of the conference.  This rate will be available until Friday, June 8, 2012.  Reservations received after this date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.

There are two additional conference hotels – Disney’s Polynesian Resort, (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/polynesian-resort/) the room rate is $170.00 per night plus tax and fees and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/coronado-springs-resort/) the room rate is $140.00 per night plus tax and fees.  The Polynesian Resort is located on Disney’s Monorail transportation system.  The Coronado Springs Resort is NOT on Disney’s Monorail transportation system.  However, there will be NSU-sponsored bus transportation to and from both of these resorts to the Convention Center in the Contemporary Resort.

You may reserve a room at any of these hotels depending on your personal preferences for price, location, décor, etc.  The hotels are comparable in services, food, and other amenities. Complimentary Wi-Fi at select Disney Resorts is provided.  NSU will arrange to provide complimentary Wi-Fi in designated locations throughout the convention area of the hotel Sunday through Friday.

Disney Resorts will begin accepting reservations on January 23, 2012.  At that time, you may make reservations by contacting Disney’s Contemporary Resort Group Reservations directly at 407/939-4686.  Please indicate that you are with the Nova Southeastern University conference to receive the special room rate.  If you do not call the above phone number or indicate that you are with Nova Southeastern University, there is no guarantee you will receive the conference rate.  Also, please note the hotel’s cancellation policy below:

“In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, including credit card deposit transactions, notification of cancellation must be received 5 days prior to your arrival.  This may be done by calling 407/939-4686.  Additionally, if you are holding any other reservations, they will not be modified or cancelled unless you advise the hotel.”

Disney offers complimentary transportation from the Orlando International Airport to many of its resorts.  For more information on the MagicExpress, please visit http://www.disneymeetings.com/magical express or call (407) 827-6777 to make a reservation. You will need your hotel reservation information when you call.  Everyone planning to use the MagicExpress must be listed on your reservation.
