Workshop Overview

This workshop focuses on identifying age appropriate literature based activities that are integrated into library media programming and that reinforce the state/ district language arts initatives.

Objectives

• Identify characteristics and interests of elementary students
• Locate resources for planning and implementing a literature - based library media program
• Correlate activities to the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) student standards and to the Florida Department of Education READS documant.
• Identify quality age appropriate literature resources in a variety of resources
• Develop a literature based library media program plan of action
