Workshop Overview

This workshop focuses on identifying strategies for creativity using Destiny automation system to facilitate implementation of a library media program.

Objectives

• Identify strategies for using Destiny automation system to facilitate imlementing a library media instructional program
• Correlate the strategies and programming activities to the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) standards, the Sunshine State Standards, and the Florida Department of
• Develop age appropriate and curriculum related activities facilitated by the Destiny automation system

Materials

• Handouts will be an overview of selected features of the Destiny OPAC to include using catalog searches, Destiny Quest, and customizing Visualsearches, including the use of specialized icons to represent individuyal school library collections to facilitate student catalog searches.
