Workshop Overview

This program focuses on identifying social newtorking tools and strategies for incorporating them into a library media and/or technology education program.

Objectives
  • Identify social networking tools and the cultural significance of them for K-12 students
  • Explore educational applications for social networking tools and locate successful K - 12 projects
  • Relate social networking tools projects to the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) student standards and the Florida Department of Education READS and FINDS documents
  • Develop an age appropriate project based on a social networking tool

  • Handouts will include the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) student standards and the Florida Department of Education READS and FINDS documents.
