Student Organizations

Set yourself apart as a member of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP).

Your scholarly achievement, commitment to excellence, and dedication to a career in education can earn you the opportunity to belong to Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, an organization with over 90-years of tradition rich in honor and excellence.

Belonging to KDP means participating in chapter meetings to exchange ideas about teaching and learning, attending online training Webinars, receiving up-to-date research publications, participating in service projects, developing leadership skills, and interacting with KDP members from across the continent at biennial convocations. Your membership also makes you eligible for financial benefits through several affinity programs, including discounts on professional educators’ liability insurance, classroom supplies, books and travel.

Nova Southeastern University’s KDP, Omega Theta Chapter is alive and growing!

After a period of inactivity in 2008, the society resumed its operations in December 2008 with five Master Accelerated Program (MAP) students leading the way as new initiates. In recognition of the chapter’s ten years of existence (i.e., April 24 1999 – April 24, 2009) there was an initiation ceremony on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Fifteen education students from both Main and Kendall campuses were initiated into our Omega Theta Chapter.

The honor society is dedicated to scholarship and distinction in education. For information on Nova Southeastern University's local chapter, please contact Dr. Sandra Trotman.
