Education Dual Admission Program

Description

NSU offers dual admission to a select number of highly motivated, academically talented students interested in pursuing both undergraduate and graduate studies in education. For students seeking an undergraduate degree in education, a dual-admission program exists with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and the Fischler School of Education and Human Services. The dual admission programs are only available on NSU's main campus in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Students who successfully meet all undergraduate program requirements are assured a place in the Fischler School of Education and Human Services. The Master's Accelerated Program (MAP) is a combined program that enables students to complete both the baccalaureate degree and the professional degree, in a reduced period of time.

Students will complete their general education undergraduate course requirements in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and complete their undergraduate courses within their major and graduate or professional school requirements at the Fischler School of Education & Human Services. Final admission into the graduate or professional school is contingent on completing the prescribed undergraduate course of study; maintaining the requisite grades; achieving specific scores on professional school admission tests; and in some cases, a final interview with the graduate or professional school admissions committee. Please note: Undergraduate scholarships granted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and Fischler School of Education and Human Services do not carry over into the graduate program.
